I love the scale of the bouquet. Very small, but still incorporating the greenery and colors I love. The photo is from Weddingbee and I apologize, but I cannot recall which Bee this is!!
An article from Portovert (the green wedding magazine which is inspirational, although not practicle at ALL for a mid-range budget gal, let a lone a budget conscience bride, but that is a different post all together) gave some great ideas about how to be green with your bouquet and I loved this picture. Again, a smaller scale bunch.

No matter what I choose I have a lovely ribbon to wrap around the stems in my family's Scottish tartan! And there will be no bouquet toss!

I like the first 2. I love the cream and greens together. So pretty.
I LOVE the one with the succulents, but yes, I think that'll be heavy. I really like the 2nd one. Just my 2 cents, of course!! I really just like the idea of a green bouquet, as pretty as the dark red one is. :)
Well, hopefully you haven't made up your mind yet, because I am looking for lots of posts on this beautiful topic! As for my favorite - with the succulents - how heavy could it be? And picture that with a touch of native wildflowers (like the Desert Broom which blooms in fall, beautiful white flowers). I just love it.
Regarding throwing the bouquet....is it not right to make up a special one to toss to your friends? I am picturing you designing a unique small nosegay with a special message tucked inside and tied with vintage ribbons.
And on the ribbons which will grace your bouquet- well, the family colors will make this very, very special. As you can see this is a topic I am interested in. I too don't like the unsustainable thoughts of cut flowers, but there are so many beautiful things you can do and still be respectful of nature.
Almost forgot...will Darrell have some kind of native sprig or boutonniere?
